Welding helmets and protection
GYS auto-darkening helmets from the ZEUS and ERGOTECH ranges to the GYSMATIC and ALIEN true-colour models and the PANORAMIC 3XL with its wide field of view, plus the HERMES air-fed helmet for shops that weld all day or work on galvanized and aluminum. Around them: replacement outer and inner screens, pre-filters and FFP3 filters for the respirators, helmet bags, and cotton welders' jackets.
Choosing a helmet
- True-colour lenses show the weld pool and the panel colour as they are, which matters for MIG brazing and aluminum.
- Shade 5 to 9 for grinding and plasma, 9 to 13 for welding; the GYS helmets switch between the two ranges.
- An air-fed helmet replaces a separate respirator and keeps the visor from fogging in a hot bay.
